Mini Birthday Bunting

mini birthday bunting

Have you guys heard of the hAppy printer from Zink? It is a smart app printer, meaning that you use an app on your ipad or other mobile device to design and wirelessly print to a little printer that fits in the palm of your hand. And the coolest part? The printer doesn’t use any ink. The ink is somehow magically included in the rolls of adhesive backed paper that the hAppy prints on. Since our regular printer has been out of ink since circa 2010 (I am only slightly exaggerating), a printer that doesn’t require ink cartridges is worth its weight in gold in my book!

Since receiving the hAppy printer, I have used it on a ton of different projects, but one of my favorites is this adorable mini birthday bunting that would brighten up anyone’s special day. It was so fun (and easy!) to make, and even more fun to send. Are you ready for the super easy how to?

You will need:

  • twine (or yarn, ribbon, string, etc)
  • a bright colored envelope (I love the colors from Paper Source)
  • the Zink hAppy printer

Start by printing out the letters of your message using the hAppy printer.

Cut a piece of twine long enough to fit all of the letters in your message. Tie a small loop on either end of the twine to make it easy to hang.

Peel off the back of each letter, and place the twine in the middle of the strip.

Carefully fold it in half. Repeat with each letter, spacing them evenly along the length of the twine.

Carefully put the entire bunting into your envelope and send it to the special birthday boy or girl.

Is there another special occasion coming up? Some other messages that would work perfectly on this bunting:

  • Congratulations!
  • Good Luck!
  • Welcome!
  • Get Well Soon!
  • It’s a Boy / Girl!
  • Thank You!
  • Hooray!

My hAppy printer was provided by Zink but all opinions expressed are my own.

  • Seema - Wow, this is such a cute idea for someone that is far away! Thanks for your creative juices here. I have a zink printer and can’t wait to work on this project!ReplyCancel
