DIY Activity Wallet

Yes…I am still here.  Things have been a little hectic with the big move, visiting friends and family, road trips, and just settling in.  But I am back, and with another very exciting announcement!  You’re looking at the latest DIY contributor over at Hello Bee, a super cute site for trying to conceive, pregnancy, and parenthood.  I may or may not have done a happy dance when Bee contacted me about contributing to her site.  It is that great.  :)  So go check out Hello Bee, and while you are there you can see how I fit hours worth of entertainment into my wallet.

So far, this wallet has provided entertainment during at least a dozen meals in restaurants (don’t judge…our stuff hasn’t arrived from Honduras yet), a cross-country flight with a 3 hour delay, a 6 hour road trip, and a couple of showers (the cleaning kind, not the baby or wedding kind).  It really is kind of amazing how much she likes it, and I love when she sits down at the table and says, “Mommy can I have my wallet please?”

Usually she screams “no pictures” when she sees the camera.  I guess I should be happy that all I got this time was a silly face.  :)

If you need a few minutes (or hours) to yourself, you need to take 20 minutes to put an activity wallet together!

PS- No, I did not buy a Kate Spade wallet for Avery to play with!!  It is my old wallet.  I do, however, enjoy the looks of strangers who think that I would spend that kind of money to carry color crayons.  :)

  • Kim @ The Celebration Shoppe - LOVE this idea and I’ve shared it on my new Wednesday link party. Thanks for the fun inspiration!ReplyCancel

  • Marie - Great idea! My little guy loves to play with my wallet. I’ll have to dig one up to let him play with. And I love the idea of keeping him busy so that I could actually eat at a restaurant!ReplyCancel
