Mommy, I like it when you are at home. I don’t want you to go back to work. Ever.
My heart broke in a million pieces. You and me both, baby. You and me both.
So I didn’t. We spent the afternoon making play dough, jumping on the trampoline, and reading books. There is nowhere in the world I would have rather been, than right there, with my girl. I will never look back and remember that afternoon that I should have gotten more work done. But I will remember her hugging my legs and telling me how happy she was that I was home with her.
I love you so much, Mommy!
I love you, too, baby.
